Heavenly Heels| Bridesmaid shoes

128-tile111-tile

Firstly I apologise, I actually bought these shoes last weekend, but have been too busy to post about my weekend shopping. Yet I am still going to share it with you as I am in love with my new shoes! More shoes I hear you say… these ones, like my Graduation ones are essential as they are my bridesmaid shoes.
Last weekend, I visited Manchester with my Mum (the Bride) and the other 3 bridesmaids, of which I am the youngest. My mum has the most random bunch of bridesmaids in the world; her daughter, her mum, and her two friends. Not only do our ages vary, so does our body shape and fashion sense, so buying our outfits has been difficult. We have managed to settle for the same dress, however for shoes we decided that we would each have a different pair of shoes so we could reflect our our style. The only necessary being that they had to be sparkly.

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of everyone else shoes, but of course I have plenty of pictures of mine. I must of looked for a pair in every shop in Manchester, and the only pair I loved were a pair of £400 Jimmy Choos, which my budget did not stretch to! Finally I stumbled into Moda in Pelle and found the pair pictured; despite them not being a silver sparkle, more a grey shade, my mum approved. Although I think she just wanted me to settle upon a pair and not leave Manchester empty handed. They are very high, but I love them, I just prey I can last all day in them at the wedding.

While we were at Manchester we had afternoon tea in Marks and Spencers, which was an absolute bargain and very yummy. While in Marks and Spencer we found this display of DIY bra’s by their staff. They had been asked to decorate a bra for Breast Cancer, and the Bra with the highest votes wins; voting was done by putting money into a collection box. I voted fro the Percy Pug bra, as I think its simply amazing, but the whole idea was a great effort by the store to help raise money.

Overall we had a great girly day, and I am very happy with my purchase. I just can’t wait till September so I can finally wear them!

What do you think of my bridesmaid shoes? Do your prefer more traditional shoes for weddings of something fun?

Zara and Ebay loves

026-tile047-horz055-tile

My frustration, stress and upset ceased today when my two deliveries, which I have been waiting on for 6 weeks and 2 weeks finally landed on my doorstep. Missing deliveries over and over again is one of the biggest pains in my life; first world problems I know! Anyways when I finally received my order items the wait was worth it.

The first bag pictured is from Ebay, and lusted after it after seeing another blogger talking about it in her video. It cost me £12.99 and is inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent clutch bag, hence the ‘Y’. It is a large clutch bag that can fit easily a A4 note book, or even slimmer laptops. I love that it has detachable straps as it means I can sport it in the evening as a clutch, or during the day for work with the strap.
The second bag is the now notorious Zara messenger bag with rose gold detailing, priced at only £19.99. I was surprised at the size, as thought it would be smaller, but this does not mean I don’t love it, the bigger the better with my bags, as I seem to carry everything around with me. The external material is very soft, and the inside is very roomy. I think this is the bag I’m going to use when I go to Finland in 3 weeks, but sure I’ll be using it before then.

Overall they are two perfect and welcomed additions to my wardrobe. However I must now stop spending my money, as even though I’m going to look amazing with my new wardrobe in Finland, I won’t have any spending money if I continue!

My new love| Stylist Pick bag

 Just a quick little post to share with you the new love in my life, my Andrea bag from Stylist Pick.
I have been a member of Stylist Pick for many many months now, but had never made a purchase. I don’t think there was a month when I looked at my showroom and found something that screamed “buy me now!” However this month I finally made my first purchase.

I have been looking for a new handbag for a while now, and as I use my handbag daily till it breaks or I just don’t like it anymore, I needed one that I was in love with. I regularly swap and change my clutch bags and other bags for special occasions or nights out, but for going to work and university I stick to the one bag. Therefore I was over the moon when I found this bag, it is perfect for me, casual for everyday use, but smart enough for my dressed up personal style.  Even better, as it was my first purchase I received 25% off my order, so it only cost me £30… bargain!

As for Stylist Pick themselves, I was very impressed with the service. The product arrived this morning, and I ordered it on Wednesday afternoon, therefore delivery was very swift, which makes me very happy! Also the bag was wrapped up lovely. It was placed inside a material bag to protect it, and placed in a shopping bag, and the invoice was folded into a pretty little card. For the price of £40 (normal price) I think Stylist Pick go above and beyond expectations.

Green with Envy

Green with Envy
1- Green Coat- £120. 2- Debenhams Jacket- £110. 3Dorothy Perkins- £20. 4- Oasis dress- £45. 5- Miss Selfridge Jeans- £28. 6- Miss Selfridge Satchel bag- £30. 7- Dorothy Perkins Clutch bag- £10. 8-Topshop Shoes- £50

Despite my Nana trying her best to deter me from the colour green (in her eyes its a bad luck omen),I love the colour. This article in Glamour magazine really caught my eye. I have quite a few green items in my own wardrobe, so was pleased to see it being an on trend colour this season.

I have used this article below to inspire my own mini collection of high street buys that follow this trend. In the article I love the green blazer, I think it may be an investment in my own wardrobe, it would look great teamed with jeans and heels.
What do think of the the colour green, in particular emerald shades? Hit or Miss for your own personal style?

Pamper Night| Montagne Jeunesse Smoothie Face mask review

Using an entire sachet- lots of product!
Last night, I took my usual late night trip to Asda to get my tea, and was very excited to see they currently have a load of beauty and toiletry items on special offer.  I didn't get too much, but did buy a special bumper pack of face-masks, which I haven't seen been sold like this anywhere else.

It was a bumper pack of Montagne Jeunesse sachets, there were two boxes on offer. A box filled with 5 sachets of chocolate treatments, for face, hair and body, and the pack I chose, a 5 pack of face-masks.The boxes are normally sold at £5 ish, however they were on offer for I think £3.

So last night I decided have a mini pamper and chose the Crushed Raspberry Fruit Smoothie, Deep Pore Cleaning face-mask. The product is described as;

"Our delicious nutritious smoothie mix of raspberries, peach, mango, apricot and pomegranate isn't a drink but it is bound to leave you in a smiley mood- with fresher, cleansed  and softer skin'

The Good
  • Left my skin incredibly smooth.
  • Loads of product, so enough for two treatments.
  • Animal friendly. Quote- "We're vegetarian and animals are our friends-that's why we don't bash bunnies or add bits of animal!"
  • A cheap product
  • The product had a rich and creamy texture.
The Bad
  • Nothing really, I suppose the fact that there is too much product can be wasteful.
Over all- 5/5- Its a super product and I have to agree with everything the product claims to be. It smelt absolutely gorgeous, good enough to eat (but don't.) I have used these products over the years, but  I'm still looking forward to using the other four products.

How I Store My Jewelry| Super Storage

When I was a little girl, I remember having countless jewelry boxes and vanity cases, all filled with (what I thought) were wonderful little lipsticks, gems, bangles etc. I was super organised, everything would have it's place, I think I was actually like this till I was 18. When I turned 18 and moved to university I didn't take these boxes and cases with me, so for the past 5 years I have literally been hording my jewelry and makeup in draws. Not a good idea, as this caused this to break, tangle and leak. It was not until a couple of weeks ago that I decided to do something about it.

So this post is dedicated to my amazing new jewelry box. It is a box that is comprised of different layers that stack together, hence the name 'Stackers'

I absolutely love these. The quality of them is top notch, and I love the idea that you can order different styles compartments to suite your own needs, and you can always buy a new layer when you expand your jewelry collection.

The retail price for each of the layers is around £10, however many websites have offers, whereby the price is £8 ish, or you can multi-buy them for a discount.

What do you guys think? How do you store your jewelry collection?

A Week in pictures

* My last Festive feast :D Yummy Krispy Kreme doughnut*
* My adopted cat, tuna*
* Christmas mug, its has its own cosy :D*
* University work, multiple assignment and dissertation writing and mass highlighting*
* Mini haul from Primark*

So I have unfortunately been super busy with university work this past week, so I feel like my posts aren't really interesting, and my lovely followers deserve more than that, so please accept my apologies.

The story behind the photos;
I am meant to be starting my health kick this week, so this doughnut was one of my last treats. I am back onto a diet of smoothies for breakfast, chicken wraps or soup for lunch, and a healthy low carb dinner. I also need to up my exercise again, as I am feeling really unfit.

Tuna meet the world, everyone meet Tuna! This is a cat that occasionally pops into our flat, he is extremely friendly and loves tuna (hence the name). I assume he has a home, as he has a collar and is well fed and groomed, but he just likes to pop by and say hello and give me some cuddles. He's a very welcome visitor.

This is my new favourite mug that I received for Christmas, it has it's own cosy! Wow! I am a massive tea lover!

As I said previously I am extremely snowed under with university assignments at the moment. In my final year, and still manage to leave it till last minute... argh! So as of Friday I will be more free, although still having  the dreaded dissertation.

This is my little treat that I bought after work. Total sum of £26.. bargain! Love Primark for some little gems every now and again.

I hope you all had a great previous week, and have a good week.

Disappointing Sale Shopping

1281
Left to Right- Nail Varnish  £5 £3, Makeup Brushes £26, Nail Varnish Set £12  £8

La Senza Underwear- Bra’s £30 each £10 each, Pants £9 £3. Dorothy Perkins Dress £32  £15.
026032
Dorothy Perkins Dresses- Red- £30 £15 Purple- £35 £15

Well I  don’t know about you but I haven’t been very successful with my sale shopping this year. I was pretty disappointed with what was on offer by the time I got round to the shops. I had a little nosy on Boxing day at my hometown, but there are very few shops there in the first place. I went to Next, Dorothy Perkins, and Boots. I found something I liked in each of these shops, a ring and baubles in Next, three dresses in Dorothy Perkins, and some half price Christmas beauty collections in Boots.

When I got back to Newcastle it wasn't until the 29th and 30th of December that I managed to get a look at the shops in Town and at the Metro Centre, by that time there was barely anything left and shops were actually bringing out their new stock for next season. I managed to buy some really cheap underwear from La Senza, and a couple of beauty products from Topshop (some of which weren't even in the sales).

Although when writing this it sounds like a lot, in my head I had a few things which I wanted to buy that I couldn't find anywhere, or if I did it was in the wrong size. These things included a faux fur gilet and jacket, smart office wear for job interviews, a few pairs of high heels, a pair of boots, a couple pairs of flat shoes for day to day wear, a new large handbag I could use for lugging my books to university everyday, and many more dresses and cardigans. So I think my expectations were pretty high to find all this stuff in the sale, I just expected to get at least some of it.

In my opinion it seems that unless you are willing to get out of bed really early on Boxing Day, and are willing to queue and fight for the bargains then you are going to end up disappointed, and I refuse to shop in this way as I hate being stressed and rushed when shopping. For me it’s a hobby so I like to browse and take my time.

How does everyone else feel about sale shopping? Love or loathe it? Also let me know your sale shopping bargains, I would love to see what I missed out on.

Presents and more Presents

So this Christmas I was a very lucky girl and many lovely things for Christmas. I do truly love gifts. Not just receiving but also buying, wrapping and giving, I have actually been buying and planning my family’s gifts since October. I always insist on people opening them in front of me as well, as there is no greater pleasure than giving someone a gift and them truly loving it!

 I got the usual smellies, perfume, beauty products, and many vouchers to buy clothes. I also received the lovely snowman charm for my bracelet, and from my boyfriend an organised trip to Edinburgh Zoo to go and see the Panda Bears… which I am hugely excited for.
What was everyone else's favourite present?
